CURRENT CHALLENGE Increased incidence of HIV in Adolescent girls and young women Young women 15–24 years old are up to eight times more likely to be living with HIV than their male peers SA (2014), highest incidence of HIV among 15–24 year old lived in KZN, GP and EC KwaZulu-Natal accounts for more than of the women 15–24 years old newly infected annually

We know that: Having a multifaceted approach is the best way for effective intervention to reduce new infections Pilot a project that : Brings together four interventions in one geographical area Intensifies prevention efforts to decrease incidence KZN and Gauteng have DREAMS and there’s no programme similar to that in the EC
