Today we will be learning to:
round amounts to the nearest 10p approximate and order numbers on a number line recognise coins be able to total money together.

‘Approximate’ means ‘around about that number’.

Mental Activity Your teacher will hand out number cards from 1 to 20.
You must give the number and ‘two more’.

You will be given a plastic bag filled with coins.
Main Activity Today we are going to position amounts of money on a number line and then round them to the nearest 10p. You will be given a plastic bag filled with coins.
