4. Cut 3 Potato cells of different sizes
Place ALL “cells” into iodine AT SAME TIME.
Cover with lid
Let them sit overnight

5. WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

7. Remove "potato cells" from iodine
Place on table
Cut in half
Measure the width of the black stripe around the edge of the square

8. Calculate the volume where iodine diffused
BIG OUTSIDE CUBE= TOTAL VOLUME
LITTLE INSIDE CUBE= Volume diffusion didn’t reach
BIG OUTSIDE CUBE – LITTLE INSIDE CUBE = VOLUME REACHED BY DIFFUSION
