College Course Options
College Credit Plus—CCP May be taken at the college campus or online Would be at no cost to the family Indicate intention on course registration form Complete and submit Intent to Participate form by April 1st to your school counselor--Pick up today! Examples would be at OSU-Newark and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC)

College Credit Plus (CCP) Meetings
C-TEC will be hosting a general College Credit Plus meeting on February 1, 2018 from 6-7 pm. All students interested in taking CCP (college courses) next year are strongly recommended to attend! If you want to take classes at OSU-Newark next year, we strongly recommend attendance at the OSU Academy CCP Meeting on February 15, 2018 from 6-7:30 pm. The meeting will take place in Founders Hall Auditorium (1179 University Drive Newark, OH 43055).

Apply to OSU-Newark Academy: Print out School Counselor Form and give to your counselor and request transcript to be sent to OSU-Newark Set-up meeting with CCP Counselor at OSU-Newark Follow-up with school counselor in August to make sure schedule is set for 18-19

College Credit Plus--COTC
COTC—Central Ohio Technical College Apply to COTC as CCP student to take classes on campus: GHS Taught by a professor at GHS Courses offered based on student interest For Intro to Sociology and Intro to Philosophy (Critical Thinking) School counselors will coordinate an application session in the spring

Licking County Scholars at Denison University Discounted price for families Application process Request transcript and letter of recommendation from your school counselor If admitted, meet with registrar at Denison University to set up class Meet with school counselor to set up schedule for 18-19

Credit Flexibility (Non-traditional course options)
Educational Options—Must be Pre-Approved Independent Study In conjunction with a teacher Online Courses Various courses not offered at GHS Credit flexibility for outside experience Graded by a committee based on paper, presentation, portfolio, and mentor evaluation Testing out/showing mastery January & August Informational packet available here

Mentoring and School Leadership
10th-12th grade students mentor small groups of freshman Must have a full-year study hall to participate Consists of peer tutoring, transition to high school, study skills training, etc. Worth 0.5 credits for a full year Applications available here Selected based on # of incoming freshmen, discipline record, academic record, maturity, application essay, etc.

Summer Courses Summer Health and/or PE—June 4-June 22
Health worth 0.5 credit PE worth 0.25 credit Cost is $150 for Health OR PE, $250 for both due March 2 Information packets with sign-up form available here Summer Ecology/Gardening Course—May-August Must have Biology credit first Worth 1 credit Cost is $250 Meets throughout the summer Should not replace having a science in your student’s schedule More information available here

C-TEC Programs Over 20 educational programs at C-TEC
Can attend C-TEC full-time and still participate in extracurriculars, school events, graduation Still receive a GHS college preparatory diploma May also earn credentials and/or college credit Granville High School houses one C-TEC Satellite Program Visual Communications through Art Applications available in the Counseling Office for current 10th grade students
