Certified Peer Specialist
wicps.org Join our training to become a Certified Peer Specialist A certified peer specialist is someone who has lived experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorder, and has formal training to support recovery. An active participant on the consumer’s treatment and recovery team. A paid professional who uses their experience and training to support recovery. You must complete an application and pass an interview to be selected for training. Only the first 50 applications will be considered. Applications will only be accepted from the following counties: Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Sheboygan, Washburn, Waupaca, Winnebago Monday July 16, Tuesday July 17, Wednesday July 18, Thursday July 19 Monday July 30, Tuesday July 31, Monday August Tuesday August 2. 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM. You must successfully complete the state-approved Peer Specialist training and pass the certification exam to be a certified peer specialist.
