College of Engineering <Project Name> Students: <Names of Group Members> Supervisor: Hakan Ürey Assistant: <Name of Assistant> <group member Project Description Group Members’ Photo Group Members’ Photo Applications Figure 1: Summary of the System We developed a wristband prototype, Sensation, which is able to distinguish different touch patterns. Sensation is a Swept Frequency Capacitive Sensing based module. Sensation is designed for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Figure 4: Applications: a. Presentation b. Emergency Call c. Pseudo Piano d. Video Game Controller Hardware Design Figure 2: Process of the System Software Design Code embedded into the Sensation module determines the gesture and informs the mobile device about it. Figure 5: Prototype Evaluation of the Module The aim of the project is to build a circuit which can sense different touch patterns, and make it as small as possible. We designed the circuit using Proteus, then had it printed in China. We gradually decreased size of the circuit. In the final design, we designed our own microcontroller unit. Figure 3: iOS Application iOS application is capable of four main functions: Establishing BLE communication with Sensation module Connecting to a remote server Calling desired phone number Sustaining four IoT applications we implemented Server side accepts incoming data from the iOS application and performs corresponding tasks. It is password protected. Figure 6: Proteus Design of the Module References: [1] Munehiko Sato, Ivan Poupyrev, and Chris Harrison Touché.
