17 What have MCHS teachers said about using Interactive notebooks?
My first response to interactive notebooks was “No way! Not something else to annoy us! “ I thought it was going to be a ton of work and I was going to have to change my style of teaching: so not true. I still teach the same exact way. I just add more foldables and keep everything in a Composition notebook. My Geometry students love it. It keeps them more organized and interested in the lesson. I enjoy everything about the INB and think that this will help our students this year & for years to come. Mrs. Jennifer Plemons The interactive notebooks are a great way for students to be organized and for us to have a “textbook.” It also gives me a point of reference when the students need to go back and refresh themselves on a topic! I think they are awesome. They have changed the way that I give notes. Foldables are great and are all over the internet, just google it.  Mrs. Brittney Adams For me, doing more foldables was something I had to work on, but I believe it has benefited my classroom. Ex: After Christmas break, I didn’t have to reteach the formulas we were using, because the students already had a foldable in their notebook. All we had to do was review using the formula. Years past, students would lose the work notes they had taken. Mr. Matt Harris

18 What Now? Explore the many ways interactive notebooks can be used with your curriculum (Online resources, Pinterest, etc.) As you plan for classes next year, gather standards per unit, vocabulary, and activities that can be modified for the INB Collaborate with others who have used INB’s - Your peers are your best resources!
