RECIPE Struffoli are a traditional Italian (Napolitan) Christmas treat. They are little deep fried balls dressed with honey and candied peel. Struffoli are tasty, delicious and once you start eating them you are not going to stop so easly! ITALIAN RECIPE

INGREDIENTS ITALIAN RECIPE 8-10 servings 4 large eggs 400 gr flour
40 gr sugar 60 gr melted butter 1 teaspoon salt 1 Orange zasted 2 teaspoon aniseed flavouring 350 honey candied peel ITALIAN RECIPE

PREPARATION ITALIAN RECIPE
In a bowl mix flour, sugar, salt and zasted orange. Add the eggs,melted butter and the aniseed flavour. Start to mix to a dough (first in the bowl, then on a work surface.) Cut the dough in six equal pieces and roll each piece into a stick of 1 cm thick. Cut the stick into small pieces and roll them between your hands to make little balls. ITALIAN RECIPE

FINAL PREPARATION ITALIAN RECIPE
Deep fry the balls in hot vegetable cooking oil, when they turn light brown fish and drop them on paper towel. Pour honey in a pan and make it heat, then add the fried balls and the candied peel and turn gently and slowly… Struffoli are ready to be assembled in the shape you Like. ITALIAN RECIPE
