Adjust your speed to be safer
Always adjust your speed to road configurations and never exceed the speed limit. Speeding always makes accidents worse.
The stopping distance is the sum of the distance traveled by the vehicle during the driver’s reaction time and the braking distance.
The distance traveled by the vehicle during the driver’s reaction time depends in particular on driver fatigue. The reaction time can range from less than one second to two seconds, or even more.
The braking distance depends on the vehicle, the type and condition of the road and weather.
