Hi! My Name is Mrs. McKenzi May! I am 26 years young! I will be your 5th grade language arts teacher for the school year. This will be my 5th year teaching and my 2nd year teaching 5th grade at MES. This will be a very exciting year for all of us. You will have 3 teachers this year and my home is growing from 2 to 3! My husband Alan and I are expecting a daughter very shortly. I can’t wait to get the year started and learn so much more about you! 

I grew up in Salyersville, KY where I attended Millard Hensley Elementary school from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I then attended Herald Whitaker Middle School for 7th-8th grade before graduating from Magoffin County High School in 2008.

My Education!
In May of 2012, I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and Special Education from Norehead State University. This year I will graduate MSU for the 2nd time with a Master’s Degree in Gifted Education (Teacher Leadership).
