History of the Temple First temple built by Solomon between
961 to 922BC Destroyed during destruction of Jerusalem between 700 and 600 BCE Second temple was built in 515BC, under Herod the Great the temple was enlarged work began in 20CE and didn’t finish until 64CE Destroyed again by Romans in 70CE
