What is InSight? InSight is a technology management tool launched in May 2011 that synthesizes information from a variety of data sources into a single, easy-to-use interface. With InSight, UTSA leaders are able to make informed decisions about their information technology resources. Clients are able to access information relating to computer management, including (but not limited to) inventory, computer age, and computer reporting statistics. The information displayed in InSight comes from multiple sources such as Inventory, HRMS, network and computer management tools, etc.
3
What is InSight? UTSA Leaders (Unit Code Owners) can delegate access to this application to others so that everyone who needs to can participate in the management of the resources. The data is presented in a hierarchical manner that allows all managers to manage technology at their level and below. Additionally, all Faculty and Staff have access to InSight to view their assigned UTSA computing assets and computing “health” of those computing systems.
4
What is InSight? Provides vital information on the health and status of your computers in your area grouped by nine InSight Indicators. Allows for the manual entry of Non-Inventoried Assets (NIA). Annual NIA certifications are managed through InSight.
