Its July I have just arrived in the land of Canada I really regret of moving here from Poland it took a long time to travel to Canada by boat. The ocean was really rough it tossed us and shook us up like a rattle. I was honestly really scared of my survival. I had landed in a port in Nova Scotia it is actually very beautiful here it is filled with lots of vegetation and lots of people most I haven't seen before . After I walked off the boat I noticed there are different people. I met up with some people from Ukraine and Slovaks . I sort of understand them because of our home countries. I have made a good relationship with a couple of people and I am willing to travel with them but we haven’t decided were we wanted to go.

4. Dear Mama
March
Its been A long time since I have written to you I have finally got to the place of interest that me and the other travelers have in mind it is about the red river settlement during my journey I met up with another polish girl and we kept traveling there together. When I arrive at the settlement I am looking forward to sighing up for the Northwest mounted Police the locals say its very good job and will get you enough money to live. My so to call girlfriend for now she does not have any rights to work in any male jobs so she will have to work at home and earn no money for us that’s right I forgot to tell you her name her name is Mariana she is the best lady you can find. This life in Canada is different and twice as hard but I will make at least some money to live. Girlfriends friend who is metis she is part French and part Indian her parents are being taken over by the Indian act that the Canadian government just put in me and her are not affected but I am kind of worried what these people will do.

6. Dear Mama
September
I have finally been married it was the most exiting day of my life. I am really sad you could not make it but maybe one year we can come and visit you back in Poland once we make enough money. A couple of years ago I finally got accepted to be in the North West Mountain Police it was exiting I got my new and shiny uniform and I am really happy. Now my job is to serve the Canadian government and give law and order to the citizens of Canada. My Sargent told me to stay in my location and not move over to BC like the other men. Can you believe the government they moved the CPR railway more south because of them it does not run near the northern communities of Battleford, Prince Albert and Batoche. So far the natives are doing ok but still they are being treated unfair by the government.
I am really missing home still but I will come back one day with my wife.

8. Dear Mama
Its November and our family has expanded we just had a kid we decided to name him Marius he is a cheerful little boy and he is doing very well. Ok right now we are in big trouble the French are battling it out with the natives and a man by the name of Louis Riel has came back apparently he left Canada a couple years ago. Right Now he is being Tried for treason and what will turn our I do not know. A couple months ago we had a big fight the natives killed nine people At frog lake the leader of the pack Chief Big Bear they also killed the government agent Thomas Quinn. Good news for you Mamusiu we are coming to Poland to visit you for a couple of months we could finnaly afford a trip by boat to you guys it make take a while but it will be worth seeing the family again.
