W6HA Club Purpose / Goals
The W6HA Amateur Radio club open to all amateur radio operators and anyone interested in amateur radio Our intent is aligned with FCC Part 97: To encourage the advancement of the art and science of radio Use our collective knowledge to aid each other Learn, explore, share amateur radio skills To promote the development of an emergency communication capability to assist communities when needed Through support of 5K, 10K, and ultra marathon races plus field day we build experience and refine our equipment / operating skills To develop a pool of trained radio operators We provide Ham license classes to help establish more Hams To promote international good will by connecting private citizens in countries around the globe In all our activities we promote good public outreach and courteous operations

Supporting UHF communication through much of LA basin Open to all Hams Used by RTN and Batallion 18 for emergency nets Activities to build skills Skills day Field day Race support / Jamboree on the Air Presentations at club meetings to expand knowledge Provide a pool of experts to help each other Monthly news letter, the Transponder Web site Socially Inclusive Friendly, courteous

Conclusion Club activities and membership have been growing for the last 5 years We must be doing many things well We do many good things with good participation We sent out a survey last year asking what we would like the club to do – 17 responses Please let me know what you might like the club to do more of less of differently Talk to me or at: (all officers)
