History of a photographer
Ansel Adams History of a photographer

This is Ansel Adams

Why I chose Ansel Adams The reason I chose Ansel Adams is because he is great photographer with unique style that interests me. The reason I like his style is because it’s all natural things such as landscape.

Early life Ansel Adams was born on February 20, in San Francisco, then later in life graduated college at Harvard and Yale. But did not do photography there, he was self taught.

When he was young their was the san Francisco earth quake which broke his nose

Evolving of style During Ansel Adams career, he had a little bit of a style change, in his earlier years of photography he did more architectural photography.

One of his architectural photos

Evolving of style He then later moved on to do more landscape photography, which I like more because he knows how to draw people in with his photography.

One of his landscape photos

Manzanar In 1943 Ansel Adams was hired to go take pictures of Manzanar War Relocation Center in California and the Japanese-Americans interned there during World War II, they let him take pictures in the camp because they were going to let “outsiders” see what life was like in side.

This is on of the most famous pictures of the camp

Techniques Ansel Adams used many different techniques for taking pictures but the one he used most often was the “straight photography” which is said to be a style of photography to depict a scene or subject in sharpest focus.

This is the camera Ansel Adams used

Conclusion Ansel Adams is a great photographer with unique style in his photography which draws the viewers in to make it more interesting. Ansel Adams photography is fun to look at because most of is photography is not all monochrome and boring.

Critique 1 In this picture there is great line, value, and space.
