What is Coaching is really meant to be in the business world?
In a business environment the key to a successful coaching relationship is collaboration. The coach is no longer directing or acting in an authoritarian manner but collaborating with the employee or coachee to identify, target for performance improvement. “Coaching takes a holistic view of the individual: work, corporate values, personal needs and career development are made to work in synergy, not against one another.” – British Journal of Administrative Management Reference: coaching-in-the-workplace What is Coaching is really meant to be in the business world?

My attitudes in action! Self awareness - Understanding/awareness of our emotions. Focus on our interpersonal abilities to connect from our teams point of view. Understanding the environmental aspects of our workplace. Coaching in – out – up

Creating the environment where our employees can stand and perform. Hiring employees who fit our strategic processes. Communicating and expecting employee success. Training and supporting employee success on the floor. Connecting our strategic objectives with our employees talents. Coaching in – out – up

Coaching up: Communicating and collaborating with our team leader.
Developing our working relationship with our team lead. Establishing what we can/cannot do. Understanding what has been tried…. Appreciating the history of where we have come from. COACHING in – out – up
