2 Take a moment. Close your eyes. Lean back
Take a moment. Close your eyes. Lean back. What can you remember of the sights, and sounds, and tastes, and smells, and feelings you experienced over the winter break? How about play in the snow? Holiday meals? Fun with friends? Use comfortable language: lists of words or short phrases are OK. ½ page, head properly, hang onto this; we will share out and you will turn in by end of period.

4 Last: Go back to your holiday story and write it up (15 points)
3-5 nice full complete sentences. Be careful to capitalize and punctuate. Use lots of adjectives (at least 5). When you’re done, underline the adjectives, check to see that you’ve headed it properly. Hand in to in-box by end of period. Still have a minute? Check your dodecahedron: can you find it? Is it done and hung up? If not, see what you can get done before the bell.

6 DODECAHEDRON - WORD WALL PROJECT due 1/13 30 points
Use pen or pencil and draw two lines on each pentagon; one for the word, one for the definition; Choose the twelve words off of the wordwall you will master and own; How will you group them? Will they have a theme, that is, something in common, or just random? Write them down in your notebook Using big clear block letters write one word in each pentagon; the word on the top line, and the definition on the bottom; Using markers, or colored pencils, or crayons color each pentagon; NOW you’re ready to Cut the dodecahedron apart - MIND THE GLUE FLAPS! Glue or tape or staple it together; All done? We will hang these from the ceiliing!
