2 History State Farm performed reviews on 2,600 claims from 2004 and found that they paid $300- $400 million in mitigation for direct damages. More importantly they paid an additional $600 to $1 billion for collateral damages due to lack of speedy or ineffective mitigation work.

3 State Farm realized that if they could increase effectiveness and reduce loss time they could minimize collateral damages….

7 Claims Process Initial contact- when a customer calls their agent, the agent can offer assistance with locating a SERVPRO in the area by: 1. Calling SERVPRO on behalf of customer 2. Providing the customer the phone number to your local SERVPRO 3. Calling our 800 number* * Please note that by calling our 800# you are not guaranteed to get the SERVPRO you are familiar with. Assignments through the 800# are made by zip code.

8 Claims reporting- agent will submit the claim electronically and will make a note in the loss field that SERVPRO of Henry & Spalding Counties, SERVPRO of Decatur or SERVPRO of Clayton County has been contacted and is on their way. Response- SERVPRO professionals will be onsite within four hours to begin mitigation process.

9 Calling SERVPRO of Henry & Spalding Counties, SERVPRO of Decatur or SERVPRO of Clayton County directly, rather then sending the call to claims, saves an average of 1.5 hours!

12 Questions Do I have to use SERVPRO?
No! The new PSP Mitigation Program is designed to give your customers quality vendor choices with SERVPRO or Service Master. However, you may choose another vendor but their commitment to your customers and mitigation work is not guaranteed. State Farm “strongly recommends” using SERVPRO or Service Master because of the guidelines in place. Can I also use SERVPRO for my fire claims? Yes! SERVPRO and State Farm also have standards and guidelines in place for fire claims.
