Background of the Author
American writer, poet and critic. Famous for his evocative short stories and poems He gave birth to the modern detective stories. Some of his famous stories are: “Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque,” “The Murders of the Rue Morgue,” “The Raven,” and “Annabel Lee.”
