Basic Study Support Provide a space and time for school work Assertive Parenting With Schools Advocate for the “right classes” Extra-curricular activities (sports, clubs, service) Push them to be excellent and keep the big picture in mind.

14 What Steps Can I Take At Home?
Communicate Expectations and Plan Excursions College visits (there are at least colleges within a ½ hour from Colton) to get the feel of what it’s like Talk about college at home Visit college fairs Evaluate student progress based on “College Readiness” expectations Help them schedule their time and monitor their use of time for recreation, school, family, church, etc.
