Rosa Parks: Civil Disobedience
On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks had a historic act of Civil Disobedience Rosa was seated in the front of the “colored” section When the bus filled, Rosa was asked to stand so the White man could sit without being seated by any black passengers Rosa refused and was arrested and her acts of Civil Disobedience made waves across the country/

Lead by the young Reverend Martin Luther King Jr The black community of Montgomery dedicated themselves to boycotting all bus services After 381 days, the Supreme Court outlawed bus segregation The black community of Montgomery found support from the Jewish community providing cars for carpools

MLK Jr. and the SCLC Martin Luther King Jr. was a young Reverend from Dexter Avenue Baptist Church He will begin a campaign focused around peaceful protest and attacking segregation through law making SCLC was founded by MLK Jr. and other civil rights leaders Focused on non-violent protests They targeted reaching into communities to empower blacks as individuals
