3. Performance Against Goals
Goal: Pour a Coke into a glass when a coin is dropped in a slot
Actual: Use a coin, to release a bowling ball, which slams into a lever that lifts a chisel, which removes the lid on a bottle, then, as the bowling ball rolls into a bucket conveniently located at the end, an arm raises positioning the glass and bottle upright, then inverting the bottle to pour the Coke into a glass.

4. Performance Against Quality
Quality goal: Open a Coke and pour successfully into a mug.
Actual: The Coke gets in the glass, and all over the end of the Machine, all in all though it makes for a good show.

Ben and Rusty came up with the idea.
The arm and tipping mechanism are their doing.
Josh and Isaac had the plan know how to get the stand that drops the ball in order.

7. Conclusions Of coarse the device is inefficient, that’s the point.
The bowling ball falls 16 inches from the stand to the bottom of the lever to remove the cap. The amount of energy required to remove the cap is roughly one third of what is available, the efficiency there is only 30%
The bowling ball falls again down the ladder at the back. The ladder is angled at about 45 degrees, thus, about half the energy from the ball is dissipated into the ladder, this prevents the arm from being ripped off. The arm is lifted with about 40 Newtons, the bowling ball provides 100 Newtons across the lifting string. This means after taking into account a little friction here and there the device is less than 40 % efficient.
The average energy conversion on the system is about 35% efficient.
Bowling balls make a loud cool sound when dropped!
