You only put the part of the quote that you need in your paper. There is no need to write long quotations.
If you need to cut out a middle you three periods in a row to indicate this. BUT ONLY THE MIDDLE, NOT THE BEGINNING OR END.
Example: Hale’s concern is apparent when he says, “Woman, plead with him…What profit him to bleed?” (Miller 145).
