1 Corinthians 1:26-29 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. [27] But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; [28] God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, [29] so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?

Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, [11] so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

HOW could His word have accomplished WHAT He had intended? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?

Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, [11] so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Galatians 3:24 (kjv) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [tutor] to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?

You seem to have a life that people dream of; work you enjoy, fame, a child and great wealth. Yet it didn’t make you happy did it? “No! it didn’t bring me contentment, I never thought of myself as someone that got the ‘brass ring’ I think of myself as someone who is constantly in search of…what? I don’t know. It feels like I’m in a constant forward motion toward what I’m afraid of, or the unknown. There’s always some other thing I haven’t done, some other place I haven’t been to, some other person I haven’t met. I’ve never had the time where I’ve sat back and felt satisfied…like ‘now I’ve got it!!’”

“They were gathered with one mind and purpose. We see an event that is similar yet opposite to what happened at Babel. Then, they were man-focused and self-driven, now they’re God dependant. Then, they were separated so they couldn’t communicate and wouldn’t gang up together against God and were forced to inhabit the earth, now, they’re given extra abilities to spread the gospel. When we’re obedient, united, and dependant on God, God will empower and enable us, by His Spirit, to completer His mission – reaching the ends of the earth for His gospel” Jono Hui
