5. MNBLN Mentoring Program
Piloted a mentoring program for the first time this last year
It was a 3 month mentoring experience connecting college/university students with disabilities, recent college graduates with disabilities, and individuals with disabilities who have completed a specialized training/certification program to experienced professionals from MNBLN’s member companies.
Our goal was to offer supportive one-on-one relationships where participants share their insights, perspectives, and experiences to better enhance their career development, advancement and employment opportunities.

4 full time, 1 part time and 3 still looking due to other future planning
Anastasia - Leadership Justice Program in Connecticut, full time
Madison - sophomore, pre-med
Jillian - Goodwill Easter Seals, full time
Greg - State of MN, full time
Katherine - PCA part-time, finishing school in December or May
Katy - K-12 schools, substitute teaching, full time
Christine – no specific employer at the time, but is involved in politics/advocacy
Christina - plans to finish school in May, looking at different internship opportunities, extended her meetings with her mentor beyond the program over the summer
