Main topics for discussion at the conferences How are the Flagship Initiatives being implemented at regional and local level? Are the Flagship Initiatives still bringing value added to EU cities and regions contributing to the Europe 2020 targets? What are the opportunities and challenges of Europe 2020, in terms of - governance potential/failures - delivery/implementation gaps - financing difficulties/opportunities Which good practices, but also difficulties, could better exemplify the potentialities and challenges brought by Europe 2020? 4

The EESC could: Be consulted on CoR questionnaires and survey results Participate in CoR conferences, CoR Bureau meetings Contribute to CoR Thematic webpages on the Flagships (under construction) 6
