1) Connect power cords of the projector [A] and laptop [B] into a/c outlet [C].
2
2) Connect the VGA cable from the monitor output of the laptop [D] to the computer input of the projector [E]. [D] [E]
3
[G] [F] 3) Power up the projector (make sure both the primary power switch [F] and stand-by button [G] are “on”) and the laptop.
4
[I] 4) If the image does not appear on both the laptop and projector, toggle the image by holding down both the “FN” key [H] and the appropriate function key [I] (for IBM it is “F7” and Dell computers is “F8”). Wait 2 seconds in between your toggles for the screens to change. [H]

5) If you have problems getting the image projected, check to see if the projector is set to the same input that the VGA cable is plugged into (eg. “Computer In #1” and “Computer In #2”). Depending on the model of the projector, press the “mode,” “input,” or “source” button [J] until the source appearing on screen matches the input you are connected to. Then, repeat step 4. [J]
6
6) If you still have problems, check the screen resolution settings of your laptop by right clicking on the desktop and choosing “Properties” from the menu [K]. [K]
7
[L] In the “Display Properties” [L] menu, go to the “Settings” [M] tab to check to see if the Screen area [N] setting is more than “1024 by 768 pixels” – our projectors will only handle resolution up to “1024 by 768 pixels.” If your resolution is higher than this setting, adjust it to a setting of “1024 by 768 pixels” or less. Press the “Apply” button, then press the “OK” button. [M] [N]
