Citing of Sources Monographs Use APA formatting. Journals Use APA options, which will be available on formatting engines in ProQuest and GALE.

Citations appearing within a professional/legal journal: cite the periodical first, then refer to the case “in-text.” Follow the rules for in-text citations. * Legal Case: o if the citation appears within a professional/legal journal article, cite the periodical title first, then refer to the case “in-text.” Follow the rules for in-text citations. o if the case is being analyzed wholly, then follow the instructions in Martin’s Intro. to basic legal citation (LII 2007 ed.), as I have referenced (open URL). o - Campbell University’s reference guide would be another excellent resource for reviewing these concepts. o - And Berkeley Press, makes it even easier with 15 short examples.

16 Citing of Sources The legal case is being analyzed wholly: follow the instructions in a professional citation guide (Bluebook). The Bluebook will supersede the general rules of APA.
