1 The Lord will Provide Gen. 22:9-14

2 Gen 22:9-14 And they came to the place which God had told him of;
(1`) ( The Place which God had chosen) and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, (2) and bound Isaac his son, (Abraham ‘bound’ his son – and laid him on the altar upon the wood. (3) 10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. 11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I

3 11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him
out of heaven, and said, 4) Good news from an Angel of the Lord.. Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. 12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, (5) AND ABRAHAM LIFTED UP HIS EYES AND LOOKED (God had provided him a sacrifice.. and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

4  And Abraham called the name of that
place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

5 Our faith in God must Rely Upon God
“The Lord will provide” 1. He provided a sacrifice for Abraham. 2. He provided a way of escape

6 1. Paul understood how God makes a way when there seems to be no way
Phil. 2:  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: How often do we fail in this commandment.. We often fail God because we murmur and dispute.

7 God will provide: Matt. 6:31-33
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Psalm 37:25 25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

8 2. We need to ask God to teach us the way that He wants us to go.
God has a way for all of his children. Moses to God: Ex. 33:13 13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. Psa. 86:11 11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

9 Read/Study/Discuss the Word of God..
So you may know the way of the Lord 1. John 12:48 2. 2 Tim. 2:15 3. Psalm 19:14

10 3. Ask, seek and knock. God has promised a way out of our problems but it is conditional: We must , with great tenacity, Ask/Seek/Knock Matthew 7:77  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: God’s door of opportunity is given to us.

11 Titus 2:1-9 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

12 6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

13 4. God’s way for us is available when we admit that human ways are not His ways

14 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts

15 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Mtt. 15:9 ; 2 John 9; Jude 3

16 5. Trust and Obey. Prov. 3:5-6 Heb. 13:5-6
The song: “Trust and Obey” # 714

17 When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Chorus: Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey.

18 Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, But our toil He doth richly repay; Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, But is blessed if we trust and obey. But we never can prove the delights of His love Until all on the altar we lay; For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows, Are for them who will trust and obey. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet, Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; Never fear, only trust and obey.

19 God will Provide He takes care of His children Are you one of them?
