2. HOW TO ADD TOOL and ASSOCIATED METER
To add a tool and add a meter to the tool, follow these steps:
Go to MENU: Equipment>Equipment List
Search for tool in equip page
TL under Equip. Type; OEM (example: use GM or VW whoever parts are made for)
Select the Tool You Wish to Copy (Double Click)
Select the COPY Function Button, (Upper Left) to create a copy
then change tool number in 3 places (Equipment Name, Serial Number & after TL- in description)
change the name of the part in the Description
Select the SAVE Function Button
Highlight with mouse, (swipe), the record title at the top left of the page
(example) Equip No: TL VW VW411, FIR CNSL and press Ctrl and C on keyboard

Go to MENU> Equipment>Setup>Meters
Select the ADD New Record Function Button (upper Left)
In the 1st Blank Box (top right)press Ctrl V and delete everything except the Tool Number or type in the Tool Number

In the description field to the right, do another Ctrl and V to paste the description again top right Ctrl V to paste and delete the equipment number to leave just the description

In the Meter Unit field type in HUR
Select SAVE Function Button, (Upper Left)

Go to MENU: Equipment>Equipment List
Find the Equipment Number Again and select meter (hint still pasted in your Buffer use Ctrl C and paste; edit & select RUN to filter for your Tool.
Select the Tool you want (Double Click)
Select the Meters Tab
Select Add Meter in the Lower Left, In the Bottom Panel Enter
UOM = HUR
Physical Meter= Tool Number (example 10127)
Total Usage = 0, Unless you know the MU-Trac Hour Total Prior to Last Work Order
Type of Meter, YOU MUST SELECT THE SPYGLASS & SELECT “Standalone” (DO NOT JUST ACCEPT THE DEFAULT SHOWN OR THE SYSTEM WILL GIVE YOU AN ERROR WHEN YOU PRESS SUBMIT)
Usage Since Install = 0, Unless you know the MU-Trac Hour Total Prior to Last Work Order
Press Submit Button (Bottom Middle of Screen)

Select PM Schedules Tab
Select Add PM in the Lower Left, In the Bottom Panel Enter
PM Schedule to add the Tool to (Hint Use Spyglass if needed)
Example: 605-TL01-C periodic tool PM
PM Type= Variable
Meter Interval=Hours Desired Between PMs
Meter Due=Next Total Hours PM Will Be Due (If meter stars at 0, it will be the same as the meter interval. If Hours are already logged on the Tool in INFOR, it will be the Meter Interval plus the Last Hour Reading when a Work Order Was Completed + The Meter Interval (example PM last done at 514 Hrs & Meter History in INFOR shows 614 Hours total value would be =1014)
