4 SMEs Collaborating to Deliver Innovative Solutions
Category 1 SME - those organisations that meet the strict EU definition of an SME in terms of number of employees and turnover or balance sheet thresholds and are not part of a group of organisations / companies which collectively exceeds those thresholds; Category 2 Supplier - those organisations that have less than 250 employees and an annual turnover of less than £50m or annual balance sheet not exceeding £43m but who are part of a larger group of companies which collectively exceeds those thresholds; or Supporting Organisation - those organisations who do not meet the EU definition of an SME in terms of number of employees and turnover or balance sheet thresholds. Both Category 1 and Category 2 Suppliers are eligible to participate directly in LINC, however submissions from Category 2 Suppliers will only be considered should an acceptable submission (defined relative to each Opportunity) not be received from a Category 1 SME. Supporting Organisations are not permitted to participate directly, but may participate as part of an SME led proposal.
