3 Purchasing Through Amazon Business
Current Advantages Discounted pricing on selected items Wide selection Easy price comparison shopping Transparent total shipping costs Free standard shipping – will have institutional Prime account Ease of purchase using P-Card or Corporate Card No receipts required for Amazon Business purchases (currently Level III detail issue with Corporate Card) Future Advantages Vendor marketplace will grow over time Hosted Dartmouth contracts (e.g. VWR, Fisher, WB Mason) available on Amazon Business – a one stop shopping experience

4 Next Steps Resolve outstanding issues regarding Level III detail and the Corporate Card Determine organizational structure – see next slide Send out invitations to set up the Dartmouth Amazon Business account to all P-Card and Corporate Card Holders If the employee already has an Amazon account with their Dartmouth address: If the individual has not made personal purchases using their Dartmouth , they choose “use existing account”   If the individual has made personal purchases using their Dartmouth , they choose “create separate account” and change the on their Amazon personal account. This will transfer existing personal account information away from the Dartmouth College address. Make all Amazon purchases using Amazon Business; use PCard or Corporate Card and follow existing processes to settle those expenses (e.g. OnBase, iExpense)

Two options available for User Profiles: Individual or Groups Benefits of Groups – Group Admins can: Control who is authorized to order Establish approval workflow to manage group spending Run reports of orders associated with the Group Considerations of Groups Sharing of P-Card/Corporate Card for purchases (optional) Maintenance of Group - adding and removing individuals from group Examples Example 1: No Groups; Flat structure – each employee is an individual Example 2: Department to Lab/Group Level Example 3: Division to Department to Lab/Group Level
