Welcome ASL 1! Written Doorbuster: Please copy the notes below (comp. books)- shhh ASL Gloss: writing a word in capital letters to represent a sign --HOW YOU Statements: “Your name is Bob.” (eyebrows neutral) NAME YOU fs-BOB Yes/No questions: “Is your name Bob?” – add raised eyebrows above the same above sentence! Wh-word questions (who, what, where, how, etc.) – eyebrows are lowered over the sentence, and slightly more at the end ---HOW YOU, NAME YOU WHAT- “How are you?” “What is your name?”

2. Signed Phrases- your team is responsible for your cut-out sentences. Learn how to sign them, and then teach (or review) them to the class! About 5 minutes to prepare, then present! – remember, shhh! I can help you too… Everyone will sign each phrase together 3. Ticket Out- class watches the signs and copies them!
