Johann Wilhelm Klein The world's second oldest school for the education of people with blindness or severe visual impairment and the oldest school in German speaking area. Founded in 1804 by Johann Wilhelm Klein.

…in 2017 In 2017 we have approximately 130 students from Kindergarten to vocational training, 50 teachers and trainers, 50 educators and 30 other employees. Until now we are an „all- in-one“ institution and service center.

Vocational and Job Training
Office work one year course in telecommunications three years of Business School Craftsmanship Experiences with different materials like wood, basket making, glass, weaving… Orientation class (re-education for those blinded later in life) – one year course

Additional offers Music: lessons in guitar, piano, flute, trumpet, percussion, choir Courses: programming, chess, french, braille music notation Specific training for the blind: orientation and mobility, daily living skills, low vision training Sports: physical education, winter sports week, skating, swimming pool, fun court, climbing, snowboarding, dance and rhythmics
