True Parents’ History For Children: Lesson 4 The Boy Who Never Gave Up! This lesson is brought to you by: Yuka potato Oiwa & Krystal Hanji Ayala

2 How is father able to do so many things?
One reason is because father has an incredibly strong will. Once he sets his mind o do something, he never gives up until he succeeds at it. Yaaaaah! Strong Will!! I never give up! Never!!!

3 Father was a very curious boy…
He knew all the animals , fish, and trees for miles around his house. one evening he saw weasel footprints. Father felt something miraculous, he wanted to learn more. !

4 What! The tracks are gone!
It was a full moon… Father knelt down and touched the tracks in the snow. The tracks were fresh. So the weasel couldn’t have gone too far. Slowly father continued to follow the weasel tracks. He followed the tracks to the waters edge, but the tracks had vanished! What! The tracks are gone!

5 Father looked and looked…
Many would quit at his point, feeling that the trail had been lost. But father would not give up. Finally he found the tracks down stream, and continued to follow the tracks. I found it!!

6 It was 3:00 in the morning.. Father was far away from home. The thought had crossed his mind. But No! he hadn’t caught up with the weasel. He must go on!

7 In the meantime… The weasel had been watching father and wondering “who is his boy that is following me so intensely? Why didn’t he quit?” The weasel made a sharp right and went north, and hid under a bush. “now I'm safe. he wont be able to find me” he thought. But when he looked back father was right behind him! He’s still behind me!!

8 The weasel ran!... The chase still continued as the sky was getting light. The chase had been going on for 6-7 hours! The weasel was so tired, he had lost all hope of escape. The weasel faced father. Father grabbed the weasel. And the chase was over!

9 But…. Father was loving and kind
He had no intention of hurting the weasel. Instead he petted It and loved it. Then he gently set the weasel down to let it go.

10 Questions! Do you remember a time in your life when you did something difficult (like homework, chores, helping a sibling, anything.), but kept going until the end of the task? How did you feel when you were done? Do you think determination is an important part of the character of the Messiah? Why?

11 Have a nice Halloween!
