10. Writing Cafe and Workshop for Young Writers
Moniack Mhor will run the first session on Thursday 1st February at Waterstones, Eastgate Shopping Centre from 5pm-6.30pm. FREE to attend.  Those attending don’t need to have a work in progress or to have done anything like this before.
Just bring a pen and some paper, and whoever is running the session will keep you right about what they are writing, working on inspiration, character creation, plot, language and much more besides.

11. Inverness Courier's 200th Anniversary Writing Competition
Theme: "As we go into the next 200 years, what changes would you like to see take place in & around Inverness?"
No more than 400 words. (Anyone struggling for inspiration could always look on the IC200 countdown page on the Courier website to see some of the developments and changes over the past 200 years!)
