Both clay depictions are of Achilles killing the Amazon Queen The Dying Gaul is a Roman recreation of a bronze statue from pergamon (eastern italy) during the hellenistic era Slide 13: girl was shot by artemis because their mothers quarreled Disc thrower also a roman copy of greek original, which no longer survives
