9 Simple Past Tense: Regular Verbs
RULES: Add –ed to the verb (want, wanted) Just add –d if the verb ends in e (dance, danced) If a verb ends in y, change the y to an I (cry, cried) Regular Verb Simple Past Tense Statement want wanted They wanted pizza on Saturday. dance danced Maria danced to music last night. play played We played baseball yesterday. exercise exercised I exercised during gym class block 1. cry cried I cried when my dog died.
