The flag has a maple leaf, which is the Canadian symbol. Red represents Canadian sacrifice during world wars, and the white represents peace and tranquility. In the map, Canada is located in the white.

3. Geography of Canada
Canada is the second largest country in the world, so there are different temperatures in each region. Near the British Columbia coastline, summer comes in February because of the warm ocean currents. In the central and southern places in Canada summer comes in May and extends to September. The hottest
months are usually in July and August.
Temperatures vary from 80 and 90 degrees
fahrenheit. The winters are longer than the
summers, and they can be brutal. In some
places, the lows are-20 F! Snow can cover the
ground for 8 to 9 months a year! In the east,
there are many rolling hills and farmland
spread across the southeast. The west is
covered with wheat fields that stretch through
the open prairies. West of the prairies lie tall
mountain ranges covered with sloping forests.
Along the pacific coast, fjords cut into the
rocky terrain. Canada has many different
landscapes to learn about.

Canada is really big so there are a lot of different languages spoken. Most people speak american, and about one out of five canadians speak french. The way to say Merry Christmas in english is Merry Christmas (as you know) and in french it is joyeux noël.

The Christmas dinner in Canada is similar to the dinner in the U.S. The main meal is roasted turkey and on the side vegetables and sauces. For dinner they enjoy Christmas pudding and mince pie.
In Nova Scotia, throughout the twelve days of Christmas, groups of people called belsnicklers or masked mummers appear in the neighborhood ringing bells, making noise, and seeking candy. People will try to guess who the masked mummer is, and if they guess right, the mummers will take of their disguise and stop bothering them. For the kids, mummers will quiz them about their behavior, and if the kids say they have been good, mummers will hand out candy.
In some places, Eskimos celebrate a big winter festival called Sinck tuck. There they dance and receive presents.

7. Potica and other Slovenian foods
Potica is a sweet bread pastry that can contain nuts or poppy seeds. That is one of the baked goods, and some main meals are pork or turkey, which can go with delicacies like smoked meats. Slovenia also has strudels, sausage, stews, dumplings, and more.
