1 Middle Ages By: Christos

2 Weapons The battles between Kingdoms were fearsome! They used dangerous weapons like bows and swords. A sword is like a sharp medal sticklike weapon that you hold in your hand and swing or thrust it to attack. Bows are curved wooden sticks with a string attached to each end. You lay the back of a short and thin wooden stick with a pointed tip (witch is called an arrow) on the string, then pull the arrow and the string back, then let go and the arrow goes flying at whatever you were pointing it at. 3 Feudal System Feudal System King Knights Nobles Peasants The head of the feudal system is the king. The king started the feudal system because he needed more money, but he couldn’t just take it he had to pay a price. He divided land into fiefs and gave them to very rich men and woman. Then they had to do whatever the king said or else he would take away their land. Some other people included in the feudal system are nobles, knights, and peasants.

4 Kings Kings sold pieces of land to other people. The King ruled almost everything and everyone. Kings were picked by their previous king. The king had knights to protect him and his people. He had jesters to entertain the people of his country. Even though the king had lots of power most people didn’t like but acted like they did.

5 Castles The first castle was built in Castles were made out of wood and stone. They were used for protecting people during war. Most castles had a moat and a wall to protect the people in it. The walls protecting the castle were about 20 feet thick! The king and queen lived inside the castle. They had a drawbridge that they would put up so no bad people could cross the moat.
