2 Overview of Weber Founded in 1962, Weber Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer of precision tooling for Automotive, Aerospace and Home & Building Industries. Three plants located in Midland, ON, with 203 full-time employees 109,000 sq.ft Machining and Molding Making facility 30,000 sq.ft Nickel Vapour Deposition (NVD) processing facility 32,000 sq.ft Fiberglass Door Assembly and Warehouse facility Full service mold shop from CAD design to final mold try-out Certified ISO 9001:2015 Canadian Controlled Goods Program registered

6 Who’s having troubled finding Skilled Trade workers today?
Lack of students entering the trades, why? Do you have an aging skilled trade work force? What’s being done to developed skilled trades in your business. Do you currently have job opportunities for Apprenticeship student? SKILLED TRADES Do you open your doors to local high school students, parents and teachers? Are you working with your local government officials to promote the trades? Do you work with OYAP today?

Apprenticeships must be employer driven!! OYAP does not create the job, they help open the door for students. Employers must be involved in the OYAP process and offer job placements.

Weber’s role in skilled trade development and OYAP Coordinated high school tours with local manufactures and College Group effort with lots of payback/reward. Career Day involvement Skilled Trades Expo for Simcoe County PD Day for teachers held at the plant OYAP Parent Forum and meeting potential OYAP students Weber has a long-term view, working on projects for the next 3 to 5 years, working with OYAP and Georgian College aligns with Weber’s vision and timeline.
