9,336 Distributed 8,215 completions thus far 8,601,370 minutes exercised 4,528,619,272 total steps tracked *Through the Wahoo Fitness Challenge, UVA employees collectively logged enough steps to walk around the globe SEVEN times! Early this year Hoo’s Well launched an initiative to make participating in the fitness challenges even easier. Provided every UVA employee and their spouse covered on the UVA Health Plan with a free Fitbit Zip or discounted upgraded model. Proved to be one of our most successful programs to date – attribute this to higher engagement. Fitbits provided employees with more motivation to get moving, accountability, and gamification made it fun and engaging. Weekly reports encouraged friendly competition both at work and at home and built social bonds while others offered encouragement and support to coworkers as they created their own interoffice challenges. Inspired other large employer in the community to do the same and impacted community at large. Hoo’s Well

2 Fall Fitness Challenge:
Complete 3 steps between August 1 – October 28 to earn $500! New this year! 4 Reasonable Alternative:
1. Instead of doing a biometric screening, you can submit a Physician Screening Form (lab results) if you were seen between 8/1/2015 – 10/28/2015 2. Complete an Online Health Assessment – this can also be done over the phone! Call 3. If you have a medical condition that makes you unable to complete the fitness portion of the challenge, you may do a reasonable alternative (coaching calls) instead.
