4. Your coach travel You will be travelling with APEC Executive Travel
Your coach will have reclining seats, air conditioning, DVD, WC etc.
The vehicle will collect the group from and return them to school.
Pick-up and return times will be determined nearer to departure.
All APEC drivers are DBS checked, experienced who have worked with groups before and who have driven extensively on the continent.
There will be two drivers who will accompany the group and they will comply with EU Driver regulations and the EU Working Directive at all times.
With the latter in mind, it means that drivers can only drive for certain lengths of time before they have to change or have a break of fixed duration.
This will means that there will be a break in the middle of the night – it is not meant to disturb sleep but is necessary for the group’s safety.

5. The Hotel
The Hotel Cimone is a family run hotel with accommodation for up to 150 people.
It’s located at Lavarone just a 5 minute walk from the lift station with access to the rest of the ski area.
The staff speak reasonable English.

6. And inside….
The hotel is well organised for handling groups. Rooms are for up to 4 people with a combination of twin beds and bunks or beds
Hotel facilities include a restaurant, bar area, TV room and meeting space

7. On the subject of food…
It will be different! Continentals will put unusual combinations of food together – just give it a try!
Breakfasts are buffet style.
Simple hot lunch at the hotel
Dinner will be 3 course: usually with soup/pasta, main course and dessert. The main course is often meat or fish with a vegetable.
For any special diets the hotel will be informed in advance.

8. The skiing… is compact with plenty of snow canon-progression is good with a variety of confidence giving runs. The group will ski in both Lavarone and Folgaria during their stay.

9. The slopes….
The nursery slopes are located in the village, opposite the hotel. There is a dedicated nursery slope with its own lift so that general skiers are separate for the first few days.

10. Ski Rental & Ski School SKI SCHOOL SKI RENTAL
We prefer to use the local ski school
Lessons for 5 days with 5h each day
All instructors speak good English
SKI RENTAL
This is arranged locally.
Skis, poles, boots and helmets are included in the holiday package.
Ski fit will take place either on afternoon of arrival

Travel Tips…
Please pack sensibly! There is limited space in the hold.
Wear your ski jacket & outdoor shoes – these are bulky and heavy!
Layers…
are the key to being warm on the mountain! You can always adjust them at lunchtime!

12. EHICS
The EHIC has been introduced in a credit card format that is for each individual family member.
They do have an expiry date, so check whether a new one is required
These can be applied for at the post office in the usual way, or the form can be completed online at:
The quickest return is by applying online – allow 7 days.
By phone on allow up to 10 days.
By completing the form and using the pre-paid envelope from the Post Office – allow 21 days.

13. And finally….
Please ensure that Mr Cooper has the following tonight:
Any dietary requirements & town of birth (shown on your passport)
Details of your height, weight and continental shoe size for ski hire.
Medical consent form (if not already done).
