3 Behavior & Expectations
Inappropriate behavior and misconduct can result in disciplinary consequences Be smart! Don’t make a mistake you can’t take back. Inappropriate behavior in school can impact your ability to attend the Prom, Senior Cruise, or other extra-curricular activities Inappropriate behavior at extra-curricular events such as Prom or the Senior Cruise can impact your ability to participate in CHS Graduation ceremonies

4 But I’m 18, can’t I do what I want?
You still have to abide by all school rules regarding signing out of school, leaving school early, or arriving to school late.

5 Important Dates April 30th – May 19th Prom Tickets on Sale
May 14th – May 18th $70 May 18th Prom Guest Passes Due Senior Cruise Tickets on Sale April 16th – April 27th $35 each, seniors only

Tuesday, May 22nd – Mods 2B & 4B Wednesday, May 23rd – Mods 1A & 3A Thursday, May 24th – Mods 1, 1B, 3 & 3B Friday, May 25th – Mods 2, 2A, 4 & 4A

Last Day of Senior Finals Last Day of Classes for Seniors

9 Important Dates Tuesday, May 29th Seniors do NOT attend CHS unless you have an exam to make up

10 Be at student parking lot at 5 pm
Senior Dinner Cruise When? Tuesday, May 29th Be at student parking lot at 5 pm Should return at approximately 11 pm Where? Bay Lady Cruise Inner Harbor, Baltimore What is acceptable attire? Business casual: Dress slacks and shirt/tie or blouse OR dress/skirt and blouse No shorts or hats

11 Appropriate Dress to Wear under Caps and Gowns
Students must wear the following: White dress shirt or white/light blouse Dark tie (no bow ties) with buttoned-down dress shirts Black dress slacks (no tan or khaki-colored trousers) Black dress shoes, boots, or sandals (no dressy flip-flops are permitted) Dark socks with shoes/boots OR An appropriate, non-patterned dress or skirt/blouse combination Black dress shoes or sandals (no dressy flip-flops are permitted) Jewelry is permissible as long as it is not worn on the gown itself. Service awards and honor pins may be worn on the gown.

12 Mandatory Graduation Events
Wednesday, May 30th Graduation Rehearsal – 8:30 am - Noon Arrive at CHS at 8 am Attire: Graduation attire with cap and gown Graduation tickets will be issued if all obligations are cleared

13 EACH STUDENT WILL RECEIVE TEN (10) TICKETS
Graduation Tickets Tickets will be issued when all obligations are cleared Obligations include Unpaid fines Textbooks or media center books Athletic uniforms JROTC uniforms Detentions or other time owed EACH STUDENT WILL RECEIVE TEN (10) TICKETS

14 Mandatory Graduation Events
Thursday, May 31st Community Awards Night Arrive by 6:30 pm Event begins at 7 pm in Auditorium Graduation Attire & Gown (no cap) No sneakers or flip-flops

15 Mandatory Graduation Events
Friday, June 1st Senior Farewell Assembly Arrive by 8:15 am Graduation Attire – Cap & Gown Senior Class Photo – 11 am Senior Picnic – 11 am – 2 pm

16 Mandatory Graduation Events
Tuesday, June 5th Graduation Rehearsal – McDaniel College Arrive at 10:45 am Practice from 11 am to 1 pm Attire: Casual CHS Graduation – McDaniel College Graduation begins at 7 pm Arrive no later than 6 pm Report to the Auxiliary Gymnasium Attire: Graduation Attire (no sneakers or flip-flops)

17 Graduation Try to park near the stadium or the golf course
Gill Gymnasium is in between the stadium and the golf course Plan ahead Driving through Westminster between 5 pm and 6 pm could involved navigating heavy traffic Tell your guests to arrive early – traffic, parking, and walking in to be seated all take time The outer gymnasium doors are locked prior to the seniors processing into the gymnasium – they are unlocked after the procession is finished

18 Graduation Requirements
ALL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET BY ALL STUDENTS PRIOR TO THE START OF GRADUATION REHEARSALS NO ONE PRACTICES IF HE/SHE HAS NOT MET REQUIREMENTS

19 Final Reminders It’s not all about you….
This is event is something you and a supporting cast have been working towards for a long time. Don’t jeopardize that with a foolish mistake now. Inappropriate behavior and/or misconduct can result in disciplinary consequences that may or may not permit a student from participating in graduation activities. Be smart, don’t make a mistake that you can’t undo.
