3. What’s Great Give Palm Beach & Martin Counties all about?
WHEN IS IT? April 24, 2018 from midnight to midnight WHAT IS IT? A 24-hour online giving event led by United Way of Palm Beach County, Achieve, Nonprofits First and United Way of Martin County designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in a single day. This community-wide event celebrates the spirit of giving and the collective effort it takes to strengthen our community. Every local gift will be multiplied with additional dollars from a bonus pool raised by United Way of Palm Beach County. Great Give will make every hour of April 24 even more exciting by offering cash and other valuable prizes to be awarded to participating nonprofit organizations throughout the day! YOU can be a part of it!

Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to support this unique opportunity for our community to raise significant funds that will make a direct, positive impact on the lives of our neediest residents (including the furry variety). You can provide a prize, become a sponsor, offer an in-store incentive or simply GIVE on April 24.

Prizes - $1,000 - $750 - $500
Would your company like to offer a CASH PRIZE for nonprofits to win during the Great Give? Prizes of $1,000, $750, or $500 will be given out every hour on April 24 to keep the Great Give fast paced and exciting! Your company logo will be featured on GreatGiveFlorida.org and each prize hour is heavily promoted on social media – plus you’re directly helping one of the hundreds of participating nonprofits. Prizes can be directed towards your favorite type of charity, whether you support the arts, animals, youth development, homelessness and hunger or the environment!

In-kind – You set the value Does your business have an extensive marketing budget with room to share? Do you have valuable items or vacation packages that could be donated as prizes to Great Give participating nonprofits? Can you offer matching opportunities for nonprofits that hit certain milestones throughout the 24-hours? Let us know and we can work together on creative, mutually beneficial co-branded opportunities.

For local restaurant or retail store owners, the Great Give is an easy way to show your support to hundreds of local nonprofits in just one day! How it works:
Place provided signage on your store front or point of purchase to show you’re supporting the Great Give on April 24
Promote your participation on social media – be sure to tag us and use #GreatGive424
On April 24 let your guests know a portion of the proceeds (how much is up to you!) will go the Great Give and you’re a proud partner
We recommend giving to the bonus pool to support EVERY participating nonprofit – last year we had more than 400, and we expect even more this year!
Before midnight on April 24,  visit GreatGiveFlorida.org and make your donation via credit card
Your logo will be posted to GreatGiveFlorida.org as a sponsor and your support will be recognized on social media (more than 12 million impressions)
Partner logos are included in at least three blasts to all host partners’ lists (more than 30,000 addresses)
Partner restaurants will be included in at least one press release and one “thank you sponsors” ad (more than 50 placements in 2017)
