35 Please Be Seated

36 “The Same Love” You choose the humble and raise them high;
Words and Music by Paul Baloche and Michael Rossback You choose the humble and raise them high; You choose the weak and make them strong; You heal our broken-ness inside And give us life.

37 The same love that set the captives free,
The same love that opened eyes to see Is calling us all by name; You are calling us all by name;

38 The same God that spread the heavens wide,
The same God that was crucified Is calling us all by name; You are calling us all by name.

39 You take the faithless one aside And speak the words “You are mine”;
You call the cynic and the proud, “Come to me now”.

40 The same love that set the captives free,
The same love that opened eyes to see Is calling us all by name; You are calling us all by name;

41 The same God that spread the heavens wide,
The same God that was crucified Is calling us all by name; You are calling us all by name.

42 Oh,….Oh; Oh,….Oh. Oh,….Oh; Oh,….Oh.

43 You’re calling, You’re calling, You’re calling us to the cross.
~ 4 times ~

44 The same love that set the captives free,
The same love that opened eyes to see Is calling us all by name; You are calling us all by name;

45 The same God that spread the heavens wide,
The same God that was crucified Is calling us all by name; You are calling us all by name. Oh,….Oh; Oh,….Oh. Oh,….Oh; Oh,….Oh.

46 You’re calling, You’re calling, You’re calling us to the cross.

October 2, 2016 “Jonah – Culture & Religion are…” Jonah 1:1-3; 3:1-5, 10 – 4:4 By Deacon Ryan McIvor

59 We Hear from God’s Word Jonah 1:1-3; 3:1-5, 10 – 4:4
1:1 Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before Me.” 3 But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the Lord. 3:1 Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying,

60 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it the message that I tell you.” 3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, three days' journey in breadth. 4 Jonah began to go into the city, going a day's journey. And he called out, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” 5 And the people of Nineveh believed God. They called for a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least of them.

61 10 When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God relented of the disaster that He had said He would do to them, and He did not do it. 4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was angry. 2 And he prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that You are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster. 3 Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live.” 4 And the Lord said, “Do you do well to be angry?”

64 A Time of Prayer

65 Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, And the glory Forever and ever. Amen!

66 Prayer of Confession: (spoken together, Psalm 32:3-5 NLT)
“When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Day and night Your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Finally, I confessed all my sins to You and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the LORD.” And You forgave me! All my guilt is gone.”

67 God’s Good News of Forgiveness: (Psalm 32:1,2,7 NLT)
“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! For You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.” Amen.

73 "People Need the Lord" Ev’ry day they pass me by.
Written by Phil McHugh and Greg Nelson Ev’ry day they pass me by. I can see it in their eye; Empty people filled with care, Headed who knows where.

74 On they go through private pain, Living fear to fear.
Laughter hides the silent cries Only Jesus hears.

75 At the end of broken dreams
People need the Lord. At the end of broken dreams He’s the open door.

76 People need the Lord. When will we realize

77 We are called to take His light To a world where wrong seems right;
What could be too great a cost for Sharing life with one who’s lost.

78 Through His love our hearts can feel All the grief they bear.
They must hear the words of life Only we can share.

79 At the end of broken dreams
People need the Lord. At the end of broken dreams He’s the open door.

80 For people need the Lord.
When will we realize That we must give our lives For people need the Lord. People need the Lord! 1983 Shepherds Fold Music (BM) ARR.UBP Of Gaither Copyright Management/River Oaks Music Co. CCLI#

94 "Your Grace Is Enough" Great is Your faithfulness, O God
Words and Music by Matt Maher Great is Your faithfulness, O God You wrestle with the sinner’s restless heart. You lead us by still waters into mercy and nothing can keep us apart.

95 So remember your people, Remember Your children
Remember Your promise O God.

96 For Your grace is enough, Your grace is enough,
Your grace is enough for me.

97 Great is Your love and justice, God of Jacob;
You use the weak to lead the strong. You lead us in the song of Your salvation. And all Your people sing along.

98 So remember your people, Remember Your children
Remember Your promise O God.

99 For Your grace is enough, Your grace is enough,
Your grace is enough for me.

100 Your grace is enough for me.

101 Remember Your children Remember Your promise, O God.
Remember your people, Remember Your children Remember Your promise, O God.

102 Your grace is enough for me.

103 Heaven reaches down to us. Your grace is enough, for me.
