Leaves Corinth intending to set sail to Jerusalem, but is forced to travel through Macedonia 20:3-6 Takes several brethren with him who travel ahead and wait for them at Troas Sails from Philippi, after Passover, to Troas 7 Days in Troas 20:7-12 On Sunday Paul preaches to them, intending to leave the next day Paul prolongs and speaks past midnight and a young man, Eutychus, falls asleep and falls out a window three stories high to his death Paul takes him up and declares that “his life is in him” They go back up to eat and converse longer. Departs at daybreak

Continue travelling toward Jerusalem 20:13-16 Assos, Mitylene, Samos, Miletus Purposely not stopping in Ephesus, however meeting with the elders in Miletus Meeting with the elders from Ephesus 20:17-38 Recap of his time with the brethren in Ephesus Uncertainty of what is going to happen in Jerusalem Does not value his life, ready to finish his course/ministry We will not see each other again See to yourselves and to the flock. Guard against the wolves Prayed with them

Continue travelling toward Jerusalem 21:1-6 Cos, Rhodes, Patara, Phoenicia, Tyre. Brethren at Tyre urged him not to go to Jerusalem Prayed on the beach and bid farewell Continue travelling toward Jerusalem 21:7-16 Stayed at Ptolemais for one day and came to Caesarea Stayed with Philip (one of the seven from Acts 6:5; Acts 8) Agabus prophesied that Paul would be bound and delivered to the gentiles in Jerusalem Everyone urged him NOT to go to Jerusalem (including Luke) “What are you doing, weeping, and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
