11 Human Dignity The Church community strongly believes in the dignity and value of every human person, young or old, rich or poor, no matter what sex, race, religion or nationality. The value and dignity of the person is there because they are created by a loving God for a unique purpose in creation. This dignity is a gift of God and does not have to be earned or proven in any way. Not only is each person unique and loved in creation, but God invites all humanity to participate in God's own divine life, now and in eternity. Any threat to the dignity of the human person is seen as an injustice and a violation of God's plan for humanity. Any threat to the dignity of the human person must be challenged and changed.

12 Human Dignity: Reflection Questions
How much do we really know about other people? Are there aspects of ourselves that remain a mystery to us? Are you the same person now as you were five years ago? What kind of person will you be in five years? Name what you would consider to be modern threats to the dignity and value of the human person. What things do you experience at school that you see as a threat to your dignity, not only from staff, but from students too?
