1 A wind is blowing through the house of Islam
Movements to Jesus are happening in numbers we’ve never seen before God is moving in response to the prayers of his people Slide 1: God is at work among Muslims In all of the bad news focused on Islam there is good news that’s not being reported. Something unprecedented is happening across the Muslim world. More Muslims have come to faith in Jesus in the past 25 years than in the previous 14 centuries combined.   A wind is blowing through the house of Islam. Movements to Jesus are happening in numbers we’ve never seen before – and in every region from West Africa right across to the islands of Indonesia. Why now? There will be many reasons but none so significant as Christians praying for Muslims as never before. God is moving in response to the prayers of his people.

2 Loving Muslims through prayer Praying during Ramadan
Millions of Christians praying 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World 30 Days prayer – loving Muslims through prayer – was birthed 25 years ago in a prayer meeting of Christian leaders. It became a call to prayer for Christians to see Muslim people through God’s eyes and pray during the month of Ramadan. This prayer movement has grown with millions of Christians worldwide praying as one for Muslim nations and neighbours.

5 For more workers for the Muslim harvest here
For us – our concerns and fears; to catch more of God’s heart for Muslims For us – not to miss what God is doing here in Muslim hearts and communities  For more workers for the Muslim harvest here   For opportunities to bless Muslim communities For Jesus to be revealed in dreams and visions For whole families to come to know and follow him; for movements here Joining in Prayer This is an amazing time to be alive and partnering in prayer to see God’s purposes for Muslims fulfilled. We’re thankful for all that’s happening but the movements and stories of changed lives and communities still represent very small beginnings. We join this Ramadan to pray blessing for Muslims and breakthroughs in their communities. Prayers   Use / adapt / add to these suggested prayer points (to pray out together and/or in groups of 3 or 4): For us - our concerns and fears; to catch more of God’s heart for Muslims For us -  not to miss what God is doing here in Muslim hearts and communities  For more workers for the Muslim harvest here   For opportunities to bless Muslim communities For Jesus  to be revealed in dreams and visions For whole  families to come to know and follow him; for movements here

6 We pray that as Muslims set their hearts to worship
Father, we pray that you would give us, your church, more of your heart of love and mercy for Muslims. Help us to be like Jesus, feeling compassion as he did for sheep without a shepherd.  Give us opportunities and courage to tell Muslims of your great goodness and love. We pray that as Muslims set their hearts to worship and pray at this time, you might give them a hunger to know you and a revelation of who you are. May they see Jesus. We pray that as they are hungry and thirsty you would show them Jesus who promised “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” Or feel free to use / adapt the following to lead in prayer: Father, we pray that you would give us, your church, more of your heart of love and mercy for Muslims. 7 multitude “from every nation, tribe, people
We pray that as they give to the poor during Ramadan you would show them Jesus who “though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich”. Help them to see and come to know and treasure Jesus. We pray that as they gather to break the fast and feast each evening, you would show them Jesus who invites them to draw near in faith and feast at his table. We thank you that we can pray these things in faith, believing that many Muslim peoples will be among the multitude “from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb” giving glory to you. May your kingdom come we pray.
