2. Updating TSA Profiles in RASIMS
Why is this so important?
Procurement of sources and equipment
Information in RASIMS is used by NSRW in the radiation safety clearance process prior to procurement of sources and equipment to MS
Incorrect or inadequate information in RASIMS can lead to the incorrect denial of procurement – this could have major political consequences
Design of projects to implement the Safety Standards
The design of TC project concepts for the next cycle is starting now!
Accurate data in RASIMS is needed to justify and support these concepts
Approval to send TC projects to the Board
Projects involving sources or equipment will not be submitted to the Board unless there is an adequate radiation safety infrastructure in the MS
Incorrect or inadequate information in RASIMS can lead to projects not being submitted to the Board – this could have major political consequences

3. RASIMS MODULES
Information management (classify, catalogue and store all the information in a structured manner by TSA-elements).
Updating Safety Profiles (RaWaSIP) TSA1-TSA6 to ensure that all new information received is fed back in a timely fashion.
Provision of statistics and reports on all the thematic safety areas in all Member States.
Feedback on the IAEA Safety Standards.
